Share the Love

Now you have to admit, this is pretty cute! (I expect some comments on this one) Cole is such a helper these days. He likes to help with diaper changes for Beckett (though he avoids his own), baby bathtime, and he especially loves putting away the dishes. Tonight Jon & Emma asked Cole to hold Beckett for a second because they needed to do something and here he is helping out with that! Such a cutey. [note: he didn't really hold him by himself]

Beckett is growing up quite fast. He's smiling all the time and has become more content now that he can focus on things going on in our home. The other day he smiled at me and that made me happy. Sometimes Emma puts him on me while I'm laying down next to them and he pulls my hair, but I don't mind at all. Colton did that too, so I'm ready for little Beck. I will admit that I'm a little concerned about the day when they can BOTH chase me around the house. (I think I've got a while though...) Anyways, Beckett is starting to sleep really well. I don't hear him in the middle of the night as much anymore. Usually they put him to bed around 8 or 9 and he's been sleeping till 5 or 6. Emma seems more rested and keeps saying that she's getting a lot more done around the house- especially with having Riley here to help out the last couple days!

Well I've rambled on quite a bit. But I just wanted to share a little about the boys. Have a good night!

Fun Visitors...

I had the best time this past weekend. We had a fun visit with Emma's brother Erik and his girlfriend Sarah. Sarah is my favorite and I liked playing with her. The boys had a blast as well. They went up to Concord Mills and played in the mall playground on Saturday. This week is full of visitors as well--the Keigley family came by last night (though I was put outside and didn't get to talk about their new home and job-I always get left out of that sort of thing!) and Riley is staying through the weekend. It's always fun to have someone else in the house. It's an added bonus that she took me on a walk today! Kristie and Norah came to visit today as well (again---put outside...) and I was excited to hear that they read my blog and check out my latest photos of the family. Well, I'm off to eat my dinner....just the regular, nothing special....though perhaps I'll get a few scraps that Cole drops for me. Have a good one!

Two months?

Today Beckett is TWO months old! Can you believe it? Look at him in his cute hat! He loves to smile and we think he's close to laughing soon. It is a little after 8 and both the boys are in bed. I think I'll go hang out with Jon and Emma downstairs and have a relaxing evening after such a long day!

Bubbles

Tonight I had the best time while Cole took his bath. Jon has recently started blowing bubbles during bathtime and I was lucky enough to come upstairs and join them tonight. I had fun eating the bubbles and Cole thought it was hilarious. "Bubble" is one of Cole's favorite words right now, as well as "Happy" and "Apple." Yes, Cole is in a box in the picture. Jon got Cole a new car seat for his truck so that they can go places together and he absolutely loves playing in the box it came in....it's his fort!

Smile.

Beckett started really smiling at people & things on Christmas Eve. His favorite time to be happy and smile is right after eating (who isn't happy after eating? I sure am- especially after Cole gives me treats!) and when Jon gets home from work. The last 2 days he has just loved hearing Jon's voice right after he gets home. Now all 4 of us are anxiously awaiting his arrival by the door! The last 2 days have been really nice weather and we've been able to go on walks...I think Emma said that we might go on one after Colton & Beckett get up from their naps!

I'm Back!

I know it's been a while since I've posted, so please let me give an explanation. First of all, I've been out of town visiting family at the farm for Christmas while my family traveled to Texas to visit other family. It was a little hard for me to be away from Emma and my boys, but I really enjoyed spending some time at the farm (my favorite place). Jon, Emma and the kids had a really good visit with Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle Jeremy & Aunt Jessica. Beckett got to meet the great grandparents and all the rest of the family in Texas on Christmas Eve. The kids loved playing with all the cousins. The rest of the week, Colton pretty much stuck with Grandma Carol while Beckett was happy to be held by anyone who would walk around with him. We've actually been home for a week now, but Grandma Carol has been here and Emma has just seemed too busy to come up and help me write a blog. (No- she doesn't let me write them by myself and says I need to be supervised. I am just a dog, you know) Well, I just wanted to write and let you all know that we are still here. I'll write later with more details on Colton and Beckett. P.S. My birthday was Thursday and I'm now 4 years old (28 in dog years- for now I'm the same age as Jon and Emma!)
